I'm not giving you the most insightful comment, but that might be one of the most poignant things written about the treatment of teachers. Good teachers are invaluable. Bad teachers are too common.
So whatever they're doing to punish good teachers is a huge disservice to the future of the country.
Work is often as hard or as easy as you make it... the teachers that are good work very, very hard and put in way more hours than they'll ever get paid for. Bad teachers can be replaced by a lump on a log. The sooner people acknowledge the true value of teachers, and the altruism of the very, very good ones, the better this country will be.
